Statement of faith

Doctrine

We are an Independent Baptist ministry standing on the King James Bible, preaching salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and rightly dividing the word of truth.

All Scripture references and quotations on this page are from the King James Bible.

Teaching doctrine

Doctrine taught and prepared on the field.

These images show lessons being prepared and taught in the local setting, with Scripture and doctrine kept central.

The Bible

We believe the King James Bible is the preserved, inspired, infallible Word of God in English and is our final authority for faith, doctrine, preaching, practice, and publication. We use the King James Bible exclusively in English-language ministry.

“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

Psalm 12:6-7, KJV

References: Psalm 12:6-7; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21.

The Godhead

We believe in one God eternally existing as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. These three are one, and the Godhead works in perfect holiness, truth, and unity.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

1 John 5:7, KJV

References: 1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; John 4:24.

Jesus Christ and His Blood Atonement

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, virgin born, fully God and fully man, sinless in life, crucified for our sins, buried, risen again the third day, ascended to the Father, and coming again. We believe His shed blood is essential to redemption, forgiveness, justification, and cleansing from sin.

“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

Hebrews 9:22, KJV

References: Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-14; Romans 5:8-9; Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 9:22; Revelation 1:5.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe salvation is the free gift of God, received by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Salvation is not earned by baptism, church membership, sacraments, law-keeping, good works, or religion. The sinner must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are non-Calvinist in our soteriology. We believe Christ died for all, the gospel invitation is genuinely offered to all, and whosoever will may come to Christ by faith.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9, KJV

References: John 3:16; Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Timothy 2:4; 1 John 2:2; 2 Peter 3:9.

The Gospel

We believe the gospel is the good news that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. We preach repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

1 Corinthians 15:3-4, KJV

References: Acts 20:21; Romans 3:24-26; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 1:8-9.

The Church

We believe the local church is a visible assembly of baptized believers, organized under the authority of Christ, practicing the ordinances, preaching the gospel, teaching sound doctrine, and carrying out the Great Commission. We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper as church ordinances, not as means of salvation.

“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”

Acts 20:28, KJV

References: Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; Acts 20:28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

Dispensational Bible Study

We believe the Bible must be studied by rightly dividing the word of truth. We hold a dispensational view of Scripture, recognizing God’s dealings with man through the ages and maintaining a biblical distinction between Israel and the Church.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

2 Timothy 2:15, KJV

References: 2 Timothy 2:15; Romans 11:25-29; Ephesians 3:1-9.

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the imminent, pre-tribulation rapture of the Church, followed by the tribulation, the visible second coming of Jesus Christ, and His literal thousand-year reign on earth.

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God… so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, KJV

References: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation 20:1-6.

Eternal Security

We believe every born-again believer is eternally secure in Christ. Salvation is sealed by the Holy Ghost and cannot be lost by the believer.

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

John 10:28, KJV

References: John 10:28-29; Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 Peter 1:3-5.

Missions and Separation

We believe the Great Commission is the responsibility of local churches. We believe in personal evangelism, public preaching, missionary sending, and the training of faithful believers. We also believe Christians should live separated from worldliness, false doctrine, and religious compromise.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Mark 16:15, KJV
